Health

Health
health.jpg

The Health meter is special in that, unlike the other 5 physiological needs, it does not normally decrease by itself.

  • If Hunger, Thirst or Energy meters fall to 0%, your avatar will suffer damage (if in a damage-enabled parcel) and Health meter will start to decrease.

  • Health meter will continue to drop unless your avatar eats/drinks/rests sufficiently to restore Hunger / Thirst / Energy meter above 0%.

  • When Health reaches 20%, your avatar will lose consciousness.

  • When Health reaches 0%, your avatar will die (which means your avatar will be teleported back to Home if  on damage-enabled land).

If your avatar is poisoned, the Health meter will decrease steadily over time.

Injuries such as falling from a height, burns, gunshot wounds, blast injuries and bleeding will also deplete your avatar's Health meter. (Injuries add-on required).

If Health meter is below 100%, your avatar will need medical treatment to restore Health.

Example items which restore Health:

Do also check out the Fitness feature which enables your avatar to earn Fitness Points by engaging in certain activities, increase Maximum Health, and unlock new abilities.

Diseases

Diseases

Your avatar can catch a disease by coming into contact with a Contagion (could be touch-based or proximity-based). Probability of catching a disease could also vary depending on certain factors. Some factors could be external while your physiological state could also make you more susceptible (eg. Energy meter is low or Hygiene meter is low).

Wearing a Face Mask will reduce your probability of catching a disease if you choose the Random mode of infection from the Contagion.

Hospital

Other diseases being considered are as follows.

  • Rabid rodent disease: sneezing, coughing, fever, vomiting, loss of bladder control, difficulty in swallowing, confusion/hallucination, fatigue. Non-contagious. Requires hospitalisation.
